Ah, progress! It might be taking you a while but it is looking very good. The time you are spending is time well spent.

Regards.

Thanks! Funny how time flies. It's good to see some old faces here.

I'm ready to be done with Fabricmate track, Linacoustic, and GOM for a while!

It often feels like I'm talking to myself on here!

As long as you don't start answering yourself, it's all good.

That stairway is looking awesome. Fabric on the stairs is WAY more work than I'm willing to put in.

I honestly had no idea that it would be this much work. I have probably put as much time into this as just about any other single project in the basement HT!

It should make the relatively simple theater walls go much faster...or at least appear to.

Well, at minimum you should be better at it, so it SHOULD go faster.

I finally finished the stairwell....

It looks great with the dimmish red light.

Some pics:

It's very hard to get an accurate pic.

I hung 4 poster frames on the wall and accented with some cherry crown pieces I had left over. Simple but elegant...and the sound deadening is impressive.

You can yell from the top or bottom of the stairs and it is completely muted.

Wife approved!

VERY nice! Well done!

1. I now have 3 Submersive HPs. 1 will go upstairs when I get the Terraform XLs in hand (will equal 2 XLs and 2 HPs).

2. Finished the rack. All of the blank spaces are filled and or finished out with blanks. This rack was ridiculously $$$ for what it was.

3. I have 2 TVs now mounted on the walls and hooked up through a matrix HDMI switcher so I can watch the same things or different sources on the TVs.

It's funny. When I started reading this thread I was SURE everything would be done by the time I got to the present day. Does Logan still "Logan" people?

Great theater. The speakers are out of this world. Is Mr. Seaton still around? So I'm curious about the three above things you posted back in Jan 2011:

1) Did you EVER get your Terraform XL subs? Or did something go wrong? Did they power them up for testing and have the gov't come in and confiscate them for being weapons of mass destruction? Darned curious...

2) Would love a picture of the rack. Is yours on the "show me your rack" thread?

3) How about pics of the spaces with the TVs mounted?

Oh, and #4 - you taken any pics of the screen with something on it? How's the screen wall look? Is that on the show me your screen wall thread?

Yeah, we all know life is life. But we need closure, man, closure!

Overall though, thanks so much for your build thread. It's given me a lot of great ideas.

And P.S. - IMPRESSIVE job on the stairwell!

Well, I am glad THAT question got answered! The enforcer is still out and ready to roll. When Terrible Logan is out, productivity goes up!

So, maybe, I should actually update my thread a little bit! smile.gif

A little progress but it is slow.

I have updated my equipment somewhat. Finally finished making the projector mount/ceiling mount look nice, etc.

I'll have to get back at this!

A few equipment changes:

Projector is now the Sony 1100 (1000 upgraded to the 1100) and can run 4K with FMP-X1 ("hockey puck") 4K media server -- 4K is definitely amazing and is the future.
Pool table is down there.
Changed a few rack items, etc.

Lemme get some time and I'll get it back up to par. Shameful, really!
