Hah, that's funny, since that would be very close to my setup if I choose to go with these. Just purchased my 500M and I have a Denon AVR-987. I love how you're running the break-in slides. That was the longest week of my life.
I'm seriously considering purchasing a pair of E5Ti's and a E5Ci, but I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow to make my decision. Not like they're going to ship any sooner anyway.
I know this is a EMP Owner's thread, but any comments or suggestions about other speakers in this price range that would be comparable. The TST2's from TSC for example?
Hate to double post, but I wanted to post an update: I finally bit the bullet and ordered a pair of E5Ti's for my fronts and an E5Ci for my center. It's kind of a big deal for me, because I've been going back and forth between different floor standing speakers for over a year now. I haven't listened to them yet obviously, but I already feel better, mostly because I finally made a decision.
I'll be using my KEF 2005's for surround, although I'll probably upgrade those as well later on. They're great speakers, but I'm sure they're not going to really perfectly match these EMP's. I'll be using my KEF sub as well, since it seems to do a pretty good job.
Anyone have a good recommendation for a pair of wall mounts to hold my EMP Tek E5Bi Bookshelf Speakers? I was looking at this http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...=2#description but not sure how I could mount the EMP single hole to the 2 hole mount securely.
I want to isolate these guys from my hardwood floors but they might be too heavy for SpeakerDudes, specially since I would use the 0 degree option. Looks like SpeakerDudes are made for bookshelf style speakers.
Are the EF30T's supposed to be better speakers than the E5Ti's? Audioholics did a really nice review of the RBH TK-5CT (which is basically the same speaker as EF30T) and gave it very very high ratings. They basically were comparing the speaker to ones that were 5x-10x its price.
How would it compare to the SVS STS-01 series? What about Polk Monitor 70? Or Energy RC-50?
since I couldn't find anything on it in the amp section, has anyone here tried the VT-40.2 integrated hybrid Tube amp by EMP? Its seems an intriguing option especially if one wants to get into tubes for fairly cheap? Has anyone heard this what were your opinions on it?
I'd be switching from polk rt35I fronts, rt25I rears, polk 10" powered sub and polk middle of the pack center channel.
Good choice?
I bought the same package considering the price and several great reviews on them or the RBH "twins" as others have noted. I have them hooked up to an Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver. But I do still have the T250 subwoofer from The Speaker Company hooked up. I'm not really an audiophile by any means, but I think they sound great. However, I do believe I could get them to sound better. I'm still messing around trying to find the sweet spot as far as crossover settings for each speaker. Anyone have any ideas or settings they would like to share? Thanks!
I have the whole EMP Impressions 5.1 setup, what do you guys have the crossovers set to for each one on your receiver? Do you set them up according to the recommended Crossover Frequency or Frequency Response? If the frequency response, what do you use when it ranges from (for instance with the bookshelf) 60-20Hz?
All I can say is: WOW. This package is unbelievable for the money. The
E10S sub blows my Polk PSW450 away. I couldn't believe it. Originally I was thinking I'd probably keep my polk sub since it is a 12 inch with a 300 watt amp, but the EMP E10S 10 inch and 100 watt amp is tighter, cleaner, and hits harder. The Polk sounded boomy and muddy by comparison.
As well .... what others have had to say about the towers is dead on. Huge sweet spot, great clarity in the midrange.
I set the crossover at 80 hertz to leave the lower stuff to the sub. That leaves a pretty narrow range for the side firing woofer on the towers (not a full octave) but it seems to work fine in my room.

Have there been any professional reviews of these speakers yet? There was an amazing amount of prerelease marketing and hype, but as of yet no bona fide comparative reviews.
The audioholics review was of the original RBH speaker. The Destination Audio/EMP variant is virtually identical. I think there are sublte differences in driver materials used. RBH no longer sells the model under the RBH name, but when I called to report one of the speakers they sent to me was damaged in shipping, they answered the phone "RBH sound". As well, I ordered the package through the EMP website and all the speakers except the sub came boxed in "destination Audio" label soooooo ....
.... one company selling products under three different name brands.

Anyone seen or heard the EMP EW30 (http://www.emptek.com/ew35.php). I was looking for something clean for the bedroom. Think these would look great hung on the wall next to my KRP500m. Anyone have any opinions on them?
Just picked up another EF30T and EF30C to complete my 9.2 setup.
Here's the setup:
3-EF30Ts LCR
6-EF30Cs Everywhere else.
Those guys are super to deal with up at EMP. I'll post some pics when its closer to being done, its a long build so it'll be months, but I cant wait to see what 9 channels of those speakers will sound like.
