Does anybody know what "enhancer mode" in the menu do? Is it defeatible in the service mode(controlCAL)?

Just curious...

As far as 60" stands go, I believe I read somewhere that the 151 stand fits the 141. If that's the case, then any 60" stand should fit the 600M... It's just a matter of sourcing the stand at this point in time.

If anyone has any comments, feel free to share.

So what is the part number for the 151 stand?

If there was only a 700 dollar difference between a 600 and a 151 which one would you buy?

With that small difference, the decision is more difficult, the extra year included with the Elite is worth something and if you don't have complete light control, the ISFccc Interface would be beneficial on the Elite.

Could I use the stand from a 6020?

I haven't tried them yet, as I'm still running the break-in DVD with the appropriate settings.

I am at about 90 hours of break-in slides on my 600M so far and have been mixing in some viewing. I tried bumtious's settings quoted above on my (North American) 600M and, by my judgement using several Blu-Ray's I am familiar with, they skew the grayscale too much toward green and are less accurate than the built-in "Low" temperature. I have reverted back to Low. The built in "Low" seems much more accurate than the default grayscale on Movie mode on the 6020 I returned. I am using the other posted settings (besides the Color Management changes) with Pure mode and they seem very good.

Admittedly these are my impressions as a video enthusiast only and I am not a professional calibrator. I would like to use a meter and calibrate but until I get one I am hoping for some input from others on their settings for these North American 600M's (especially D-Nice who mentioned in another thread he expected to post some in the next few weeks).

Also, is the Blue Only mode on these KRP's useful for calibration of the saturation level?

I look forward to exploring these along with you guys.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I looked up the replacement parts for the PRO-151 and they can be found here: http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/...lNum=PRO-151FD

I'm assuming the stand would consist of the stand accessory, stand pipe, and base cover, but I'm just guessing at this point. If anyone has a better idea, please share.

So lets be more clear, can any 60" pioneer stand be used on the 600 series? And when I say any, I mean the last generation stands as well.

I don't know, but I'm curious as well. I do know there is a difference between the Elite and non-Elite stands because the non-Elite stands have to raise the panel high enough to mount the speaker below the bezel.

Someone else can chime in if they know more.

I think that "2" is pretty much equivalent to off.

Ok! Thanks, chrisherbert.

I just ordered a 151fd. For such a small price differential I just couldn't figure out why not to. Without getting into where or how much it is a whopping 600 dollar difference.

$600 over the price of a 600M? If I'm thinking of the correct numbers here, that's a pretty incredible deal.
I was very happy with the price. Also something to keep in mind the speakers and stand aren't exactly free. Even if you got a great ebay deal you are still another 150 bucks in the hole above the purchase price on the 600.

Either the 600m wasn't priced correctly or the 151fd wasn't. My experience has been double that...

But, one never knows.

Well, guys, my 600m didn't even make it out of the distribution warehouse before it was reported as damaged. Invision called to tell me they are having to re-allocate a different unit, which will push my ship-date to tomorrow. Sigh.

My replacement 600M unit is due for delivery day after tomorrow. Hard to be too optimistic about its arriving in functional condition at this point.

Sorry to hear that unfortunate news. I hope the one that does make it out is mint. We need to up our numbers here

Good luck on your 2nd go round. Let us know!
Yea if a price seems too good to be true it probably is especially on the Elites. So people should check resellerratings on any company.
Don't want to get into a flame war, but I got it from a good company. Just because he is selling close to cost doesn't make him a bad vendor. Some folks just want to make money in volume. If I sell 10 things and make a 135 bucks each isn't that better then selling one and making 1k?

IF you use credit cards and require shipping, the $600 is not entirely accurate, but the price is still excellent for a 151FD. PM 'ss9168' for details.
Just ordered a 600M from Roman this morning, but I can't say that would've been the case if I could have picked up the 151 for $600 difference.

I believe I was looking at about $1500 difference between the two when I checked.

Roman if you have too many 151's and need to unload one more (somewhere near the $600 difference), go ahead and change my order

If not, I'll just be "stuck" enjoying the 600 provided it gets here unbroken.

Wow, This is getting crazy.
You begin to wonder if there isn't a disgruntled employee somewhere.
Either that, or there must be a packaging flaw of some kind.

This must be a packaging flaw at Pioneer. From what we have read this was assembled here in the US and since it is new in the US market they probably have not tested how the packaging of the product will protect the contents. I am sure that Pioneer is now getting a lot of feedbacks from their dealers/distributors.

I wonder how much different the packaging for the unit that was sold outside of the US ( Europe/Australia). It first came out there and there wasn't any report that we have heard of similar problems ( cracked screens) from the other side of the pond.
How many reports we have cracked with a Pallet? Curios myself.
I have had several Elite plasmas over the years. This 600M was packaged as well or better than the previous ones. It was strapped, and palletized.

I think these plasmas are cracked before they even get sent on their journey to us end users.
