Help! Marantz sr6003 and Comcast HD cable box issue

I have a Comcast Motorola HD cable box that when connected to my Samsung 750 HD LCD TV (DVI to HDMI) works fine.

However, if I run the cable box through my Marantz SR6003 receiver by HDMI and then from receiver to my TV by HDMI, I get video for a few seconds then a message that says that my display has been compromised and to use component cables and the cable box flashes DVI (error). This even happens when the receiver's HDMI is set to passthough.

Any ideas? I would really appreciate any advice.

As a workaround, I have the audio going to the receiver and the video directly to the TV but I would prefer everything going through the receiver.

changed dvi cable box to hdmi box and the marantz works fine now.
