I recently pulled the trigger on an axiom epic grand master 500 package, and now I am about to pull the trigger on a good receiver. I'll be using this primarily for home theater... My price range is up to $2000
In the blue corner, hailing out of thx2audisseyville is the Marantz SR8002
In the red corner, hailing out of featureville is the Yamaha RX-V3900
The question is who is the favorite, and are there any other contenders I am overlooking??
How about for the following breakdown
Sound Quality?
Room Calibration?
Intangibles?
I really like some of the network gimickry of the Yammy, but that may just be shiny silver objects distracting me from better sense...
