Upgrade Projector

This doesn't make sense? You have a 40" Televsion or you have a projector? This is what a projector looks like
Sitting 10 feet away from a little 40" or even 60" screen is not good. Normally we sit that far away from screens 120" diagonal.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer here, it comes down to an opinion. Sure, 10 feet away is pretty far for a 40" screen, but what are you watching anyway. Sounds like for movies you drop down the big screen.
So for the TV it's mostly news, kids shows, cooking shows, and other crap. Does that really need to be bigger than 40"? Also, a 60" Plasma is very expensive and the LCD TV's are still garbage.

if you were used to watching on the 40" at that distance than keep it like that, this way when you do put the 120" screen down you can still go WOW!!, if you go to 60" when you watch your PJ it wont be as dramatic. Its all about perception sometimes right?

I just went and rented (exchanged) a movie at Fartbuster. they had a BD player feeding a Plasma TV. The picture was totally Green. I asked the manager and he mumbled something about "black levels with Plasma"?
I guess what I'm trying to say is that picture quality is a lot more important than size. A well set up 40" Plasma from Pannasonic delivers an excellent picture for less than $1K. To get a 60" Panny your looking at $3K and up. To me it's not worth it but it depends on how important television is to you. I for one can't stand any shows that have to with hospitals, dying, crime scenes, murder, war, the President, White house, or so-called Homeland security. It it wasn't for PBS I would throw my TV in the garbage.
