Philips 42" LCD Models

Hi All,
I recently purchased a Philips 42TA648BX. The picture looks great and I am happy with it, but I found another Philips 42" model for pretty much the same price. Does anyone know if the Philips 42PFL5603D/27 would be an improvement over my model? I compared the specs of the two on the Philips website and they seemed pretty much identical except that the the 42PFL5603D/27 had a few more bells and whistles. I usually end up disabling these picture "enhancement" features anyway as I prefer a more natural looking picture. I also had heard some whispers about some problems with the 42PFL5603/27 ie TV turning off by itself. Basically if I'm not going to gain anything in terms of picture quality, I'll stick with what I have. Any thoughts / opinions?

Any specific reasons why?

I made a mistake. The model I would switch to is the 42PFL7403D/F7. I'm thinking that I should probably switch. Anyone agree/disagree/comment?

I think the contrast is a bit better on the 403 switch.

I just ordered the 42PFL7403D/F7. In case anyone is interested, Costco.com is selling this model bundled with the BDP7200 Blu-Ray player for $999. Offer expires 12 Jan 2009. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Apparently these do not have VGA analog computer input for laptops and the such?

The main upgrade you got was a 120 Hz panel vs. 60 Hz. I have the 42ta648bx/37 and a 52pfl7403d/f7. Both are great.

Be sure to read the pfl7403 thread in this forum to help get your settings right. The digital natural motion has it's own quirks that have been getting worked out over there. And upgrade your firmware to the latest version right off the bat.
