Hi all,
In a panic after seeing my new vxt553sv turn itself on and off NUMEROUS times, during an all night CoD "Black Ops" launch marathon, I thought my brand new 553 was cutting out from heat or processing issues.
We hung it up Friday the 5th and LOVE it and the apps, but it was pi$$ing me off last night, as we were gaming with the family over Xbox Live and my TV kept turning off. WTF?!? The logo flashed white, orange, white, orange and then it was like it took a few minutes to re-boot itself and bring up the "Vizio Internet Apps" logo, and then get back to the game.
How would I look to see if it was truly an unannounced firmware update or something more serious, which should be handled under warranty? It would be nice if we the owners of the sets had the option of "when" to update, like a PC & not a surprise during whatever event might be on.
I have it hardwired via Cat. 5 cable to our Netgear router, BTW.
I don't want to tinker with it, I just want to enjoy reliable HD goodness for BD and the Xbox 360.
