Pretty good deal, sells for 29.90 on amazon:

Amazon has it for $23.21 now with prime shipping. I wish now I would have waited on picking up a second one.

How many of these cards can you stack on your account?
You can can't go more than three years in advance. So if you just renewed a lapsed account for one year, you can add two more years. I'd wait until this afternoon to see if Amazon has it for $35. That was the case last year and the year before that.
In addition, BestBuy is offering "buy two games, get the third free"

Amazon has matched the price of the 12-month Gold card, $39.99: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-LIVE-Month-Gold-360/dp/B00EQNP8F4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1390762261&sr=8-4&keywords=12+month+xbox+live+card

Not sure if it will drop any lower,
You're probably right. This might be the new low. It will be this price at Target for the next two weeks also.

Thanks for helping me save $20 on a LIVE renewal card at best buy today. Much appreciated.

I'd like to point out that BB also had a lot of the old day one and NFL cards still lying around in the store so you can get a few extras like $10 off at NFL.com with some kind of bag or the day one card with a Killer Instinct character code like I did.

Thanks again.

The nice thing about Amazon is that you can buy the code and get it immediately without waiting for a card to ship to you or fiddling with it. Of course, if you have an Xbox One you just have to show the QR code on the card to your Kinect and say "Xbox redeem code".

I already paid full price for a year at the beginning of December because I couldn't find any deals. I'm debating whether to stack another year on to get the discount.
I picked up a few of the NFL ones, more for the bag than the NFL store discount. It's $10 off when you spend $100, and the prices there are already overpriced, so that $10 savings is probably still more than you'd pay at another retailer.

Should have looked for some Day One cards though. The Killer Instinct character is only available in that card, so you might make a few bucks re-selling it.

Check your local BB for the NFL one. Since it comes with the free NFL bag there was confusion on the part of the guys they had stocking the rack and they labeled the price as FREE. As a result I grabbed all three boxes on the rack and ran to the checkout. When it rang up to $180.00 I told them the rack displayed a rate of FREE and they were forced to honor the rate. I have checked a couple other BB's locally, unfortunately they priced the item correctly. Good luck!

I never thought this day would come.
I think with only one or two exceptions, I never paid full price for any ME DLC. I was always willing to wait for the price drops. Grabbed it as well!

Today is the last day for Amazon unless they extend it. Xbox Live 12 Month Gold Membership [Online Game Code] $39.99. It is a downloadable code if that makes a difference. No waiting if you need it now.

Man, these prices make me almost want to re-think my digital download only decision. Almost.

you can always do half and half man, ain't nothing wrong with that.

who says I can't buy DD versions of Ghosts+TitanFall+the next big Kinect Game but still buy disk based games for Forza, NBA 2Kx, Lego Marvel, Tomb Raider, other games

I can...

if they offered a DD Marketplace, then I would be all over that.

You can, but the whole point of going DD-only is never having to get up to switch discs and to be able to switch from game to game by simply saying, "Xbox go to ...".

The last disc I bought was for a 360 game, Rocksmith 2014. I was anxious to get my hands on it and MS was very late to put up the GoD version. It's not so bad; since it's the only 360 game that I'm playing on disc, its disc lives in the drive. If I catch the DD at a major sale price I'll double-dip; I did that when Rock Band 3 came to DD.

I've wanted to play Halo CE Anniversary but it's never been offered as DD and I refused to buy the disc.
I guess I'm nostalgic towards the use of disks and it gives me a way out of a bad buy (resale)

DD = done dollars smile.gif

Which is why discs won't go away anytime soon. But, since I generally don't play multiplayer, I don't care when I start playing a game so I buy most of them when there's a decent sale price (I recently bought Bioshock Infinite DD for $15; I rarely pay more than $30 for anything). By the time I finish playing a game the disc isn't worth anything in trade.
