hello all,

im back to posting again.
i was just looking through the forums, and something jumped into my head.
a question that i know some are going to scoff at, and just completely ignore.

but i would like to let everyone in here know that i have considered all of the more expensive options, such at the Onkyo HT-6100, and the different receiver, and speaker combos, and the whole deal. Throughout the process, i have changed my budget multiple times, and have spend days trying to make a decision.

after i had thought i finally chose one (the HT-6100) a man by the name of da1writer managed to change my mind to getting the Sony CT-100 (much thanks to you da1writer, you made me realize that i dont need to spend the amount of money for the Onkyo, when i can get a very good soundbar for substantially cheaper). Now, after considering that i've dropped into the high 200 to mid 300 dollar price range again, id really like to make sure that the CT-100 is the best option in the price range. It doesn't have to be a Sound Bar per se, it can be 5.1 or whatever.

to clarify my budget is maximized at 325 (350 is pushing it, but considerable) and is somewhat of a hard budget.

I will be using my sound system for gaming on both my 360, and PS3 and will watch a very substantial amount of Blu-Rays.

I know people will recommend saving my money for more expensive systems, but before you do i'd like to discount that. So everyone knows, this is for my bedroom, being that I just turned 18 yesterday, i still live with my parents. And when i move out, and get older i am looking into building my own system with separates, buying a projector, going the whole nine yards.

but for now, i'd love some quality advice for products in the price range, the pro's/con's and all of the usual. And oh, the only limit i'd like to put on a system is that i dont want a built in dvd player. i'm not to big on those.

besides that the restrictions are somewhat loose.

thanks for any and all responses in advance.
and sorry for the long post also, i just felt i needed to clarify some things so it would be easier for the people here at AVS to know what i'd like to find.

thanks again.
