If you can control zone 2 with the Denon remote then you can control it with the 1100. Sometimes tech support can lead you in the wrong direction if your question is too open ended.
I have my Denon AVR defined as two separate devices, one for the main zone and the second for zone 2. The Harmony database recognized the zone 2 as a device and mapped the separate controls to hard and soft keys of my HO. Any are missing control can be "learned" from the Denon remote.
You need to plan out how you would like to control zone 2 from the 1100. With my HO I created multiple Activities that use zone 2 as follows:
- Listen to music - remote area
- Listen to music - main and remote
- Watch TV & Listen to music - remote area
Creating these activities is just like any other. Specify the devices involved, and what inputs are used. Any activities that involve both the main area and the remote area may need some special planning for controls like volume and channel.
You can setup additional combinations as needed.
