+1 to your comments.
revisited and revisited. I also could test & test with my sub EQ systems but you know, I've been tweaking & upgrading my system since 2003 and I'd like to just enjoy
I guess I just don't obsess over some of this stuff like I used to. once you get your system dialed in, who wants to keep measuring & tweaking. Maybe I could improve it, or change brands & get another room EQ system & start the whole process all over again
O, I'll get around to do my own checking again, sometime in next month probably. but it's not a hi priority right now. I'll do it for the intellectual curiosity to prove to myself what some are saying (like you
) is true. but I really don't care even it's not what I thought it was.
I have smooth, pretty flat bass response, plenty of it even below 20 Hz, solved 2 bass nulls at my seat. so if it turned out that some freq's are not being reproduced from the sub or bass is coming from a sub rather than my fronts under certain situations, I'm not anal enough to notice
BTW- you mention external crossover...which one do you use with your Maggies? I wouldn't mind looking at replacing the passive crossovers with better components but I'm not a DIY electronics builder. I know of Marchand & hi-priced Pass Labs & Bryston. also the discontinued Outlaw ICBM.Edited by ss9001 - 6/3/13 at 5:53pm
