Klipsch vs Energy

I'm looking for a 5.1 set of speakers for my new setup. I'm also looking for a new receiver but that is for another thread.

I really enjoy the Klipsch and the Energy speakers as a set, but can't decide on which one. The room is roughly a perfect square of 15 x 15 with hard wood floors (if that matters). The rear speakers need to be wall mountable. I really don't have a budget but I would like to stay around $500 but it's flexible.

if you have not auditioned them, then go do it.

If its your first time hearing them, you will like the Klipsch better at first due to their high sensitivity. They will sound very dynamic and fill the room easily.

With Energy, they will sound more laid back yet very warm and neutral. You can crank them up and hear more details than the Klipsch . So its really up to you. For movies you would probably like the Klipsch more.

I'm assuming you're looking at the entry models of both.

Yes I am looking for something entry level. Perhaps once I indulge myself with the entry level ones I may find myself wanting more. I'm not a video/audio junky buy do enjoy listening to music and watching movies with the family.

Listen to the Klipsch for an extended period of time. For some the horn tweeters can be fatiguing.

I'll have to see if I can find a place around town that shows them off. I'm not sure I can find one though. The local BB only has the High end stuff out for demo.
