Lego Indiana Jones 2 and Trilogy Blu Ray!
Reported By - Simon - 21:45:34 (GMT)

Cool Toy Review have shots of a Lucasfilm powerpoint presentation. It shows that by the end of the year there will be another Lego Indiana Jones game and that the original trilogy films will be coming to Blu Ray.
Pop over to read the full details and see the pictures they have of it.

looks like the original story/info was taken down
I'm only a fan of the first but I'm sure this will excite some of you here

The first 2 are a definite buy, the other 2 are coasters...

See... this is why they have to release all the movies. Personally I wouldn't even set my drink down on Doom. If Capshaw's "acting" wasn't enough to make me hurl, every Shortround scene would do the trick.

I gotta agree with Oink here... 1 & 2 great, 3 & 4 not so much. Though all would be a must buy.

Is it just me or has the cache of the Indy movies worn down quite a bit?
There's been such a looong time between the third installement and now, plus there are so many wonderful movies out now on BR, that it seems nearly anticlimactic if/when these get released in hi-def.
I've seen many great new and older movies on blu-ray now with amazing PQ and AQ that the likes of Indy and Star Wars just don't seem to have that cache anymore. IMO.

I got major problems -

Temple is the best out of the bunch , beating Raiders by a nose

the real question is ... will they sell them separately ?

Temple is worse than Crystal Skull. I'd say that the third movie is by far the best.

Ditto.

Definiley 1&3 for me but if I have to buy in a trilogy pack so be it. I hated 2 and 4 but each to there own. But I will say that jar jar binks and short round have in common, they are the most annoying characters that Lucas has bought to screen. Why he does it who knows!

I'll be very happy when Raiders is on BD, I can watch that over and over again. I liked 3 better than ToD, but not by much. I wish I never knew 4 existed.

They made a 4th Indiana Jones movie?
I won't buy 4 until I can get 1-3 on blu-ray. I will buy all 4 when they are out though.

It was actually meant to be an x file film but the two main characters wanted too much money so it became an Indiana Jones film
post #17 of 326
It has all of its naysayers, but Temple of Doom is awesome. As a kid I was obsessed with its dark over the top elements. Gimme all 3 please.
It 's very long time for me.I think Lucas's film must do their best for this triology as Indy4.
No matter which one is the best, I will buy the *whole* serie... 1 & 3 are above 2 & 4 for me...
You guys act like Paramount will give you a choice.
well there's always the choice of not buying it...
First of all let's hope they release them separately.

If that is the case i'll definitely take RAIDERS and CRUSADE and leave DOOM collecting dust in a warehouse.

When I first saw RAIDERS I thought it was the most amazing film i'd seen. However after looking back some 20 some years and reviewing each adventure i'd have to now say that CRUSADE is my favorite, mainly because of Sean Connery.

What makes Sean so great is that he plays against type and I love the storyline of an estranged father/son who are forced to go on an adventure together. As Spielberg stated in the special features about the film, the Holy Grail wasn't so much about the grail itself, but the quest of re-discovery between father and son. Add in good bad guys and interesting allies, makes for a great film.

Can't wait till they are released on BD.

Good thing I love all four. Yes, I said it! All four! :-)
I still dont know anything about a 4th Indy movie.

I do remember last year walking into the movie theater and they were showing some god awful made for Sci-Fi channel movie, with a guy wearing a fedora. Those kids sure did love those monkeys though!

I just figured the projectionist screwed up.

Anyway, I would be extremely surprised if they sold these individually. Chances are at about 2%
post #25 of 326
Like many, I was disappointed with the fourth movie, but I would buy all four in order to possess the others. I also think that titles such as these will help persuade more people to buy blu-ray. Although recent blockbusters will always top sales, many people want to know that their favorite movies will be available when they finally move from dvd to blu.
It will be a box set for sure, and I enjoy all of them. If I had to put them in order it would be 1,3,4,2 ... with 4 & 2 being very close to each other.

Me too, but then I grew up and realized hoor poorly everything was executed and how really bad the acting was by the supporting cast.

I've always wondered though if it might be vastly improved with replacements for Capshaw and the kids. There are some great parts to it, but it's taken down so far everytime anybody other Indy speaks.
IMO, Temple of Doom has actually aged very well & has the best audio & video of the three original films. The dvd is spectacular looking. Can't wait for these on Blu-ray!
Why can't they do tetralogy boxes???
First it was the Rambo set 3 + 1.
Now Fast and Furious 3 + 1.
Then Indiana 3 + 1.

Does the technology to make a bigger box not exist?
