Universal BD Live Disc Authentification for Commentary

Has anyone been able to get a disc to 'authenticate' so that they can do a video commentary?

I have been trying to set this up today and so far it has been a failure.

I have been using the PS3 but will try the Pan BD55 as well to see if that helps...

I have Wanted and Death Race here - neither will authenticate for me...

This is a bad sign if I read you correctly... I have a Samsung combo player, so BD-Live is likely not going to happen for me... I am ok not having many of the interactive/online features... but if studios start crippling features already on the disc (like commentary) if you can't make the BD-Live connection... there will be many unhappy consumers.

You mean so you can make/view User created Commentaries on BD-Live?

I could if it worked lol.

Universal definitely has it and I think Fox or Warner is aiming to do it too.

You can do a video commentary and share it with your buddies...

Well you can if you can get it to work...

This doesn't affect the on-disc content.

Just the ability to generate fanboy content

Ok, it looks like the version of Internet Explorer is important.

Basically it works with IE7 but not with IE6.

At least it only took me 3 hours to work that out...!

I have yet to try the user created commentary because I have no friends on Universal's BD-Live community.

Ah, ok... that's like the HD-DVD custom clips feature that I never used. I was afraid for a moment that it wouldn't let you access the commentary track itself.
