BIC America F12 sub anyone ? - Page 25

Well after almost pulling the trigger on a BIC H100 with BING cashback, i ran into a coupon code for Sound Distributors.

While they dont have the F12, after hearing so much about the PA-120, i kept looking at that.

With the coupon code of "TV15", i just ordered the PA-120 to my door for 223$ bucks!

1 Premier Acoustic PA-120 Titanium ()Premier Acoustic PA-120 Titanium Subwoofer Color: Black $229.00 $229.00
Discount: $‑34.35
Sub Total: $194.65
Shipping Type: UPS - Ground & Insurance rate.
Shipping: $29.00
Tax: $0.00
Total: $223.65

The TV15 couopon code took off almost 35$ bucks. Talk about a steal! They also have the BIC H100 and many other products i think the code can work with. I think its pretty much 15% off any order.

Thanks guys! Just wanted to come back and share the code with you all after everyone here answered some questions and gave some advice. Cant wait to start breaking this thing in next week!

You did good! Congrats! Let ud know how it works out. I had it narrowed down to either PA-120 or F12 and decided on F12 because of better deal at that time.

Congrats! You probably could have gotten a little better deal by naming your own price using the link I provided, but still, that is a good price for this sub. I ended up paying slightly more than what you did.

I tried naming my own price using that link twice, and both times i got no reply ( on the 180$ price and the 200 price ).

I just about gave up until i stumbled on that TV15 coupon, which put the sub in the 190$ range which was good enough for me.

Plus, i got shipping confirmation today.

Sorry to talk about this in the BIC / F12 thread, but you could get the BIC H100 using the same site and the same coupon, so its somewhat relative. Ive heard all the subs are very similar and made on the same line etc. Just trying to shed some light on all three if someone is in my shoes, weighting options of the H100, F12, and PA120

Ill prolly post back, albeit in the pa-120 thread, once it gets here ( which i hope is this week )

And you are upgrading from two BIC-F12s to... what?

What you have got is upgrade-malaria!

Isn't your wife pissed off enough with your current bass output?

LOL

But seriously, to what monster bass solution are you upgrading? Curiosity has got me in its grips. (One BIC-F12 is more than enough for me... or my apartment neighbors... tee hee)

I am concerned that there might be something wrong with my F12 sub. The current sub volume knob is set to around 10 o' clock and after running Audessey, the adjusted sub channel level is set at -12.0 dbs? Anyone know why the channel level is set so low even after running Audessey a few times..?

When I set the channel level to -6.0 db, my whole room shakes like crazy. Bass is still felt even with the sub channel lvl set at -12.0 db but I've read other people setting at least 0db... Anyone know what is going on here? The sub is currently located in a corner of the room if that helps.

I just bought my Bic F12 today! I was thinking of using it with my Take 5 system as it doesn't come with a sub. I have an Infinity Primus speaker set in my living room with an Infinity Sub (dont remember which one).

So to make a long story short, would you recommend moving the Infinity Sub to the bedroom with the Take 5 and move the F12 into the living room with the Infinity speakers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chris

Nothing wrong, Audyssey sets the trim level in the receiver so that the sub output will be level with the other speakers at the listening position. If it's adjusting the trim level at -12 then you have the gain turned to high on the sub. Try turning it down to say 9 o'clock instead of 10 and running Audyssey again.

I popped in the Haunting (DTS Version) last night and really pissed her off. The doors were flapping.

I'm going with two Tuba HT's and a EP2500. Already have the parts on order, just need to put everything together on Christmas Vacation.

I want my vision to bluur.....

I was watching Flight of The Phoenix blu ray and the sub will cut off at different parts of the movie. I set my crossover to 60hz to the fronts and 80hz to the center and surrounds. Anyone know why it's cutting off the bass?

AS,
So two F12's pisses her off, you will be needing a good divorce attorney after you put two tube's in front of her. Best to interview EVERY lawyer in town that way when she goes to get a lawyer there are none left, if you have talked to them about divorce they can't then work for her! Can you say overkill?

Instead of talking about sub volume at '10 o'clock,' why not turn it to level 3 or 4? Try setting things up manually, everyone relies on the auto Audessey and in my Yammie, YPAO... Set it up to your ears liking and by the numbers.

We, we somewhat already have a agreement. She hates my racecar, so I told her I'd sell it if I could build a Home Theatre in our next house.

Little does she know, I've started before finding a new house

That website is constantly pushing their ETA date back. For the longest time it has said they were getting more on Dec 7th. The 7th came and went and now they changed it to the 24th of Dec.

I haven't checked if they are an authorized dealer. I would assume that the warranty will still be good through Bic as long as you register it...but once again I am assuming!!!

I ordered mine yesterday and received confirmation the same day that it will be shipped on the 13th. The email was also from a person and not some automated response too.

Hope that helps!

Hi USAFWD, did you placed an order through them and are waiting? If so how long ago?

No, I have not placed an order with them. I've been checking their website daily hoping they would get the sub in stock, but it always shows as out of stock. I'm certainly not going to order from a company that is constantly pushing their expected shipments back. I wish they did have it in stock, I would buy one.
