My Samsung 61" LCD RPTV has a bad blue polarizer. Unfortunately they don't supply the polarizer on its own (they do however sell the whole engine for $3k).
After doing a bit of googling i came across this site: http://www.neufeld.newton.ks.us/electronics/?p=237 where a polarizer from another projector altogether was used to fix the problem.
So i'm putting this call out to see if anyone at all has info on any polarisers that are still available (eg: the sony HS10 part) or even better an actual polariser.
Even a burnt one will do so I can see whether it will fix the problem, if it does, then i'll buy a new one.
