Still, it's not like Fruitcake was going to win.

I love how the contestants kept getting hit by the opening door in the first round, two and three times in a row; will they ever learn?

Amen, brother.

And don't forget that all that stuff is edited big-time, so there's not a good way to compare the difficulty of the obstacles. I loved watching the Ski Lift, otherwise known as the Human Pinata Machine.

The ratings proved we still love this show.

Great episode last night, loved it. Ski Lift was a fun new twist and different than just jumping on your own platform to avoid a sweeper arm.

Winter Wipeout was an "Arctic" BLAST! Can't wait to see what other new obstacles they come up with. The launcher for the Zone was frakkin awesome!

The pie at grandmas house was great and the ski lift was epic. Whoever dreamed up the ski lift needs a big pay raise!

LMAO!!!!! OMFG!!!! Oh ohhhh... oh god... ohhh... hahahaahahahah oh go... ohh... Make it's stop! Sides splitting!

OMFG!!! Blu Ray heed now this season needs to be on it! LOL

The Mogul thing is pure hilarity - talk about some BRUTAL hits.....
There were some absolutely brutal face shots on the first stunt. Probably the worst ones I have seen in the history of the show.
I hope these are "real" people. I would hope they are not using out of work stunt people, etc. As brutal as this has been so far you would have to sign your life away to do it. The risk of being severely injured here for the payout may not be worth it.

That thing with the two big tippy tables is brutal too - that one skinny girl nearly kicked herself in the back of the head and her back made a U ... OUCH!!

My wife never watches the show but it was on last night and she watched about 10 minutes with me and her initial reaction was how did someone not end up paralyzed or killed with some of the hits they were taking last night.

I just kept laughing...I know i'm going ot hell for it but the face shots just kept me rolling.

Last night was "smashingly" epic....*OWEE!*

I don't know, but for whatever reason, I just can't seem to get into this "winter version" of Wipeout.

ABC has gotten a big ratings bump this month running reality show Winter Wipeout in the 8 p.m. Thursday time slot recently vacated by Survivor. Now it looks like it's going to stick with unscripted there for a little bit longer. ABC quietly expanded Wipeout's winter run by four episodes last week (it'll run until March)

Extended til March!?! Pho King AWESOME!

These guys have GOT to be sore the next day at least. lol I really don't see how they don't have any injuries at all. I don't see these people being hired stunt actors, if they are they are all very good at keeping it entertaining and such!

Either way, I ****ing heart this show!

Wow @ the guy's winning time this week!
Loved the "Bouncy Platforms" this week. "Ski Lift" is one of the greatest ever.

Need to switch out the lame-ass "7-Letter Word" though.
It's lame, but what I think makes it less lame is everyone repeatedly failing and keep doing the same things to get them selves knocked on their asses that's great about it.
I did something I never usually do with Wipeout. I fast forwarded through all of it until near the end of the final obstacle course. Reason: those early rounds are getting repetitive - pretty much same obstacle course each week, not like regular summer version where they vary the obstacles each week.

I like the winter show, but Ski Lift, Seven-Letter bounce and the finale course each week needs to change so there's some variety.

The Zone hasn't changed at all yet this winter, has it? I'd like to see that changed up. The Ski Lift can stay every week as far as I'm concerned! And I think my all-time fave, the Blob Launch, may be back this week. We'll see....

The only thing that's changed so far is the first part of the opening qualifier. However, since we saw the winner blaze throught he finale in just over 3 minutes last week, perhaps they'll go back and change up a few of the last parts as well.

Great show. I would like to see a celebrity version.

This year has been the most brutal yet. I can't believe these people are taking the beating. Is there a site with injury info?

Isn't that what all "celebrity" edition shows are?

Agreed. Put on all the "stars" from Dancing with the Has-Beens/Wanna-bees and it would be just as graceful.
Heck with "celebrities" (quotes mine). How 'bout ESPN on-air talent? You already got an 'in' already with SportsCenter anchor John Anderson hosting.

Let's see Stuart Scott "booyah" himself on the BIg Balls (TM).
I could watch Joan Rivers go through the course.

With that much plastic and molding, Joan Rivers could BE the course!
