harman/kardon AVR7300 Fuse or not to fuse!

System was working great! One night there was a pop sound and my entire system went out. I was running a Monster Cable HTS3500 Surge Protector. It was buzzing away. So I'm told (By Monster) that it gave it's life to protect my components! "What a Soldier!". I was also told to test my other components to make sure it did its job. Upon testing by plugging directly into wall plugs, my 5 other $300 devices work fine. My $2,000 AVR7300 doesn't. I have a yellow light around power button (normal) and when I hit the button the light changes to blue and I hear a click (normal)...but nothing else happens, no display no sound ... nothing (NOT NORMAL). Could this be a fuse? I bought this in August 2005. Took me 8 months prior to save for $800of it and the balance I put on my credit card just got paid off 3 months ago. Any ideas....I really appreciate it! Thanks!
