HDTV - Source switching problems

Hello everyone!!!

I bought a new HDTV (Samsung Series 6 32") and connected it to my PC (video card sapphire x1950 pro). I used DVI-HDMI cable to interface and i am using HDMI2 input behind TV. I also connected my Cable STB using AV2 connection on the TV. Using the remote control of Samsung, i could easily switch source and watch PC, or Cable anytime without any hassles(Source-Switch button on remote).

Recently, i upgraded my graphics card and SMPS. I got Palit HD4870 1GB Sonic edition (connected to TV using same DVI-HDMI). PC runs perfectly fine; however, now whenever i switch sources - from say PC to AV2 (to watch cable) and come back to PC (by switching again), my PC simply hangs up with a beep . The only option for me after this is to reboot my PC using power button - as neither keyboard or anything works. So, basically now whenever i switch sources of TV using remote and come back to PC - my PC hangs. This is so strange, i am simply unable to figure out the problem.

Your help is much appreciated, please let me know how can this happen??? How can i resolve this issue?

What driver release from the ATI website are you using with your new graphics card?

Hey, thanks for replying, but yesterday evening i found a solution

I am using 9.1 driver version though.

Basically, i just needed to keep my screensaver on before switching sources, so that the TV keeps receiving signals . Now, there is no problem during switching.
