Ive read a ton about amps and recievers here and am sure I still am not very educated in everything I need to know about them.
Im in the market to start building a home theater setup pretty soon and I am looking into getting the most bang for my buck that I can get.
Im looking for a reciever that is pretty much upgrade proof for the foreseable future. Currently own a JVC that I got from the PX back in 2002 in Korea that is still working, but would like something more up to date.
I see that the 805 is discontinued , but still seems to get really high praise ...much more so than its 806 brother it seems. It would seem that the 805 can be had for around $800ish ( from the place named after a river ), and the 876 for around 1k. Is this about right? Havent seen any on shoponkyo recently yet.
My system I intend on using it for is for a Panasonic AX-200 projector, PS3, Xbox 360, AV123 Rocket series speakers and the MFW sub. It wont ever be a dedicated room due to the WAF, but maybe eventually it will be
