Used Extrons - How long has yours lasted?

Thread Starter
I am currently buying a used Extron on eBay. Given the mean time between failure (MTBF) for the Matrix 100 & 200 is 35,000 hrs and for the latter units (Crosspoint/Plus/300/450 Plus) is 30,000 hrs, then if the unit was left continuously on, that's about 4 years till the MTBF point is reached and if it was only turned on during business hours, maybe about 8-12 years. Many of these used units have already been around for that length of time. The Matrix 200 was released in 1993, the Crosspoint in 1996, the Crosspoint Plus in 2001, the Crosspoint 300 in 2005 and the Crosspoint 450 Plus in 2005 with almost the entire 450 Plus line being discontinued in 2007. Also, I realize that's 'mean' time some units will fail earlier and some later.

I am wondering how many of you have bought used and discontinued Extrons and how long they have lasted. So, if you have, it would be great if you'd post the following:

Model (ie Matrix 100, Matrix 200, Crosspoint, Crosspoint Plus, Crosspoint 300, Crosspoint 450 Plus); and
How long it's lasted since you bought it, or how long it lasted until it's first failure; and
How many hours you've had it turned on per day or whether you have had it turned on continuously; and
EDIT: When you bought it and what you paid (if you care to share).

Also, for those of you who received DOA units or had units eventually fail, what part failed, how much did it cost you to repair, and who repaired it (Extron or ?)?

Thanks!

I've got a Crosspoint 84HVA. Have only had it for a few months, but I leave it on continuously unless we're going out of town.
