Panasonic TH-50PZ80U and PC via DVI to HDMI? Issues anyone???

Anyone out there connecting their PCs to this exact model Panny via DVI to HDMI cables using the 2 rear HDMI inputs? I couldn't get it to work and Panasonic said the rear HDMI inputs don't support a PC connection but on Newegg they actually say "connect your PC" while advertising this set. I've also seen a lot of comments in other posts on this site that appear to be saying people have no issues doing this. Is my set bad?

Others has issues due to video card, connecting a HDMI extender can be used to connect at the back of TV. Monoprice #2849 http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...t=1#largeimage

Yah, Panasonic actually sent me an HDMI extender. I was just curious if anyone was using a PC w/o issues at all on the rear HDMI ports because I also now have another issue with a new Sony CT100 soundbar and my ps3 not displaying properly. I've replaced the ct100and borrowed a friends ps3 and the issue still occurs so I thought maybe I got the runaround about the PC issue originally and this new issue is another manifestation of something being wrong...

Do you know if that thread is saying that some video cards don't have/create the issue so many people don't need an extender with this set?
Thanks for the reply and links! =D
