Martin Logan did soundbar in the Mitsubishi 149 series LCD-True??

I was wondering if any Martin Logan 'insiders' know anything about the Sound Bar that is in the Mitsubishi 149 series LCD television being Martin Logan. I have had 3 different people in Magnolia( all different states!) tell me this, yet I can not find even the slightest blurb online about this. Anyone?

Thx

Martin Logan helped Mitsubishi design it. They didn't build it, though.

KwkShift Thanks. That is amazing. In theory, if they helped design it.. what exactly would that mean?

Black88, That is funny! Would that actually be why it sounds to me WAY better( much warmer, natural ,more like a 'higher end' speaker) then my Yamaha YSP 4000.., which is the same technology?

Speakers in general are so subjective. I can only surmise that Mits put out such under performing speakers in last years LCD line that they needed something over the top this year. The 149 series is over the top in many ways, I only hope that the reliability is also built into these sets, as Mits is at the bottom of the statistics here. This is mostly to a bad LCD that they put out last year (for some) and a bad rear projection that has caused many people problems the year before. I believe that the 149 may have been overbuilt with some quality parts to make sure it doesn't get the bad feedback that some of their other sets did. This in itself can turn around their LCD business.

I don't know how much of a hand they had in it. That ML helped in its design is all I know at this point.

Thanks kwkshift!
It's actually a nice fact to know about the soundbar and why it sounds so good
