LG BH200 1080p Film Mode

When this is set to ON, will video based material play at 60 Hz? Thanks.

Yes, it looks for flags in the video stream to determine if the source is 1080I/60 or 1080P/24. Works perfectly with 99% of discs although there are a few old HDDVDs that are incorrectly flagged as video (1080I/60).

i have 1080P film mode always on. and when i watch a blu ray or HD dvd it still says 1080/24P when it hit info on the TV remote.

I thought 1080p film mode is supposed to make the picture look better ? I just got a new samsung un46c6500 model and looks amazing with the BH200. but with 1080p film mode on, it says 1920x1080 24hz and if its off I get 1920x1080 60hz. I thought the 1080p film mode was good thing ?

1080p/24 is the best way to view almost all Blu-ray films.
A few are shot at 1080/60 or 1080/50 but 1080/24 is the usual 'native' frame rate so it should look best.
