JBL L880s vs Paradigm Monitor 7

Hello all,
I am trying to decide between the JBL L880s and the Paradigm Monitor 7s V.5, both can be had for the same price per pair and was wondering which would be the better deal as the JBL are closeout and the Paradigms are new versions. Any feedback would be great. I would put the JBLs with a LC2 center and the paradigms with a CC190 or CC290.

I've heard the JBL L880's along with a LC2 center and it sounded pretty good, except that the highs were a bit much for me (but they're definitely not as bright as Klipsch).

Frst off, what makes you think the Studio L series is a closeout? If one retailer/E-tailer list closeout doesn't mean the Studio L series is going away. I've seen no info from Harman stating such.
And how many threads are you going to start that are about the same thing; comparing JBL to Rocket/Onix, Paradigm...?
Most, if not all, the speakers you've asked about on all the threads would be good choices. But imo the Studio L series is hard to beat for the price.

The JBL L880s have a horn tweeter. That is going to be bright. Most speaker manufacturers avoid using horn tweeters. I'm not sure where they are made, but the Paradigms are designed and made in Canada.

But the bottom line is what sounds good to you.

The Ultrahigh-Frequency Driver is in a small horn, but that dome tweeter only operates above 20K htz. The Ti tweeter, below 20K htz, is in an EOS waveguide. Those speakers aren't laid back, but I would not call them bright either, certainly not when using a Marantz or HK receiver.
A bright speaker would be Klipsch, Thiel.

Sorry, I'm very indecisive, I won't start another thread like this.
