YES I am aware this is an "OLD" thread......Hell I am an old guy or atleast I feel that way. Anyway I am updating here as there are actual REAL updates to the bar build. I have finally cleaned up all the crap that had found the bar area to be home ever since embarking on theater build 2.0 I just threw all kinds of crap on/in/around/near the bar so let me tell you cleaning it out was a MAJOR task. After I did all that we re-painted the room a much lighter tan color. For those that remember theater version 1.0 was all part of this bar build so the theater side was a very dark chocolate brown and that wasnt going to work with all my Notre Dame memorabilia that I needed to get back up on the walls.....(in case you were unaware football season is coming). So we painted and then it was on to unpacking all the crap that I have and hanging it ALL up. So here are some updated shots....and keep in mind the title of this build thread (Irish Copper Top Tavern....)as I am a HUGE Notre Dame football fan. Most all my pictures are autographed and I also have a collection of ND mini helmets that are signed that are not out yet as well as some footballs etc.
View when you reach the base of the stairs.....(fuseball table to be replaced with poker table soon)
Slight turn to the right is the bar area in its current state. I am thinking of skinning the bar front with rock
Shot looking down the bar and against the wall
A little more of a right turn to see the half wall bar.....
Front right corner of the room (note the corner of the built ins I have added since tearing out the first theater)
To the right..
Back corner/stairway wall
More to the right/meets up with the base of the stairs just around the corner
Front side of the half wall bar....
Home of poker table someday soon.......(Anyone have one they want to sell??)
For those that dont follow my build thread version 2.0 I built some built ins for the tv and more memorabilia. Here is a shot of it basically finished. I will add more here if anyone wants to see more.
I also added a touchscreen jukebox to the bar area using AlbumPlayer software. Though I have yet to REALLY use it, the little I have played with it was a ton of fun and should make for entertainment at parties. Here is a shot if the touchscreen monitor hanging on the wall to the right of the half wall bar..
Still have some things to hang up as well as work to do. I still need to install some quarter round trim around the laminate floor. I need to pour envirotex on the half wall bar top.
