I'm just an Irish Fan... over in central IL. She just called me and said our friend has an extra ticket to this weekends game at the big house if I want to buy it... honestly not sure if I want to go or not.

We will be up there (about 6 of us)this weekend though no tickets (yet)but hope to get a hold of some. We are heading up Friday and staying til Sunday. We are taking a great big motorhome up so it should be a really good time.

That damn warning gets me every time!

I have some updates to the bar side of the basement aka "this build"!

I purchased some solid used bar stools from a local bar owner as I wanted to be able to refinish them "my way". I didnt take many pics other than a before/after of one that was done and one that is yet to be finished. I had 8 in total and 6 are finished. The other 2 will have to wait until spring as I am trying to limit my garage work until its a bit warmer.

Here's a couple of the before (left) and after (right). I wanted to stain part to match the bar and go with black on the rest to tie into the rest of the basement. I also plan to add some black accents to the bar front and maybe some other areas over there.

And here are the 4 in front of the bar and the other 2 at the half wall bar. The other 2 I need to do are for a table project I was also working on.

I am working on a pub table to go with the other 2 chairs where we can pull up 4 if need be for a card game. I also got the rest of my Irish collection up.

And that's it for my 3 month update!!

Looks good, looks really good. Everything looks right at home. It is a real shame though that you couldn't really show your support for the Irish. A true Irish fan would have a lot more paraphernalia around.

Wow - REALLY impressive stuff! I also have a relatively modest basement, and am in the very early planning stages, and trying to figure out what I can with the space I've got. I apologize if you said this earlier in the thread (I'm sure you did) but I had two questions:

1. What is the square footage of your basement?
2. What is the measurement from the back of the bar to the front of the half wall?

Thanks so much - everything looks AWESOME!

I will take a wild stab in the dark here and give you a "best" guess. The bar/living room side is "roughly" 600 sq.ft. give or take. The back wall behind the bar to the front of the half wall bar is about 12-14'. These are guesses based on memory without me actually going and measuring. Hope this helps.

Hey! I just took a closer look at your bar pic and I'm concerned just exactly what kind of chasers that you put with your bar tending skills. Looks like some caulk tubes and spray paint, not exactly what I want with my "adult beverage".

Otherwise it looks good!

Great job on the stools! Excellent work.

By the way, I have the exact speakers as the ones you have on the bootom of your entertainment center. I purchaed mine in 1994 and they still sound great.

Haha those babies are OLD!! But you know what they still can thump. I have speakers all over the place and just needed to throw a pair down there temporarily. I have some others to use in place of those but just havent had the time to switch them out.

Very impressive.. It's been awhile since I was on this thread. I'm not an Irish fan but ya gotta respect a fan that has that much stuff. That looks like years of collecting. I have a friend that is a huge Notre Dame fan and I'm definately going to have to show him these pictures.
