need receiver that can switch a/b speakers with remote?

Any new AV receivers capable of switching a/b speakers via remote? I run different speakers for movies and 2-channel music listening, would be cool to get my Logitech Harmony to select the right speakers when it changes activities...

A/B switching is definitely in the harmony database for Denons. I imagine many other brands have them too.

Thankyou. I'll have to add Denon back to my list then. The Yamaha 863 I've been testing out will not do it, apparently. The suit and tie I talked to at Magnolia didn't think the Pioneer Elites would do it either (and couldn't find a remote to test it). Haven't looked at Onkyo yet.

Sometimes the IR code exists even though it is not on the original remotes. And IR codes are generally consistent within a brand. For example, the current Denon 1909/789 model does not have an A/B speaker switch on the remote, however previous Denon remotes do have this command. So if you can get the IR code it will work for any Denon model.

I am willing to bet the same thing applies to the Yammy 863. You may be able to track down the IR code for A/B speaker switch even if it's not on the actual remote.
