I once owned the 40xbr800. One of the best and at the same time stupidest decisions I ever made..... Long story short, it got burn in, I had the tube replaced as it was under warranty, the set came back and I left it in the garage because it took 5 people to get it upstairs. Sold it to some sucker on craigslist a week later. God that was a beautiful set. Thought I would never be able to substitute that glorious hermaphrodite of a tv, 40 inches of 4x3 and 37inches of enhanced widescreen glory in 1080i. Then I got a kuro.

I own the 32 inch version of that beast. And I thought IT was heavy. Has a very good picture, with less than perfect geometry. I've never owned a plasma or LCD; the only ones Ive taken a close look at are the store display models and I have to say I havent been very impressed with them. The only thing I envy are the large screens and I would really like to have wide screen but I am afraid I will just be disappointed by the picture quality in comparison to my Sony CRT. It has great contrast and vivid colors. I'm hoping, just maybe the Neo Panasonics might persuade me to join the world of plasma.
