HTPC Build: GeForce 8200/8300 vs 9300/9400

Hi
I wanted to get your opinion on which would be a better idea for an HTPC upgrade. I occasionally get stutters when playing video and also wanted to experiment with TrueHD/LPCM (Are high-res audio codecs worth it?)

Current System
AMD x2 5000+ w/780G (Integrated ATI3200/HDMI output)
Other Stuff I currently have lying around
Intel E6850 / Mobo without integrated graphics

I could
1) Get a GeForce 8200 and stick w/the AMD x2 5000+
2) Get a GeForce 8200 and get a Phenom II / overclock it. I want over 3 GHz for decoding purposes
3) Get a GeForce 9300 and keep the E6850 (which I'm leaning towards - seems like the most functionality)
4) Use the Intel stuff I already have and get an ATI 4830/4850/4870

Questions - from what I've read
1) The ATI solution has issues with 24 fps and video quality is dependent on how high end the graphics card is (jaggies etc) - which is why I was leaning towards the integrated Nvidia solution
2) Would there be a difference in the 9300/9400 regarding the above mentioned jaggies (AA?)
3) Is there any advantage in the intel (9300) vs AMD (8200) platform beyond Intel chips are better at decoding /encoding video
4) Is there anything else I should be looking out for?

For processing of HD video content you would need a 8600GS or better and 8300 won't hack it.
A 9400 is a much better solution.
