KDL46WL140 = KDL46z4100 ?

There is a thread about the kdl46wl140 available at costco and sam's.

There seems to be some confusion as to whether the wl140 has the 10-bit panel and processor.

Some people believe it has the 10-bit while others say it has the 8-bit.

If it indeed does have the 10-bit, wouldn't that make the wl140 = z4100
rather than the w4100?

I say this because the w4100 has the 8-bit and the z4100 has the 10-bit.

Would someone please clarify?

It seems like the 46wl140 sits between the 46w4100 and 46z4100.

It's got the 10-bit panel and processor as well as deep color, like the Z.

But it lacks the dlna that the Z has and also lacks the XMB user interface.

The WL also has x.v. color, something the W and Z both don't have.

I gotta double check the ITV Guide IPG thing, but i think the WL has this.

Does this seem about right to you guys?

the above link states the WL140 is 10-bit and has the WCG-CCFL.

But I don't know how accurate the info is.

Can anyone confirm?

That's probably the best idea. Though the difference seems to be fairly minimal
