Denon AVR-589 and Samsung BD-P1500 Issues/Problems

HELP!!! I just got a Denon-AVR589 to go with my home theater and it will not work with my samsung Blu-Ray BD-P1500.

Ok, so heres the rundown:

I hooked up the AVR and ran the BP through with HDMI cables. It goes out of the BP into HDMI Input 1 and then out throught the HDMI Out into a Mitsubishi WD-65735.

When I put a BD disk in, the samsung screen actually comes up fine, but when it begins loading the disk menu the screen scrambles and it black screens. It doesnt let me use the TV menus after that either. I have to guess my way back to another input and then I can see on screen menus.

I have already tried different movies, updated the firmware and tried an alternate input on the AVR.

Please Help. I REALLY do not want to have buy another BP.

Thanks for the info. I will try reseting it, but this was the case right out of the box so I belieive it was set to default.

I actually called an AV installing company and was able to get some advice. He said it was most likely something called "handshake issues". It where the receiver is not communicating the signal properly. He said to unplug it all (let it sit for a minute), plug the reciever back in then the HDMI cords. Then he said to turn on the receiver, let it boot up and then give it a go.

I'll try both your suggestions tonight, and post a conclusion tomorrow.

Ha, thats funny. We looked for houses in Bristow as well.

Anyways, none of it worked. I even went and bought a replacement HDMI cable. I think it is the BP. It just doesnt want to communicate with the receiver.

I have ordered some nicer HDMI cables and will see if that does the trick.

FYI - I gave up on this. Cables didnt work
