The pg30 is a good entry level TV, especially for the price. It's blacks are a bit light when viewed in the dark and it has some other minor issues, but overall it gets the job done well. When calibrating my TV, I wasn't happy with the settings I found online as they all seemed to turn the image yellow-ish. The problem with getting TV settings from the internet is that they are not meant for your TV, since TV panel colors can differ even between the same make and model.
I actually prefer a bit of vibrance in my TV's image so I used a calibration
website (generally intended for computer monitors) to setup the greyscale and colors for my TV. If you have a computer hooked of to your TV through HDMI you can try it. It doesn't work as well through the VGA input on the TV since the image processing is different.
