one of these motor driven subs. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with this unit; ie is it really worth the $$$?

Keith Yates spent 6 months testing a hand full of subwoofers including the Servodrive.
Basically great extension and output hampered by mechanical noise from the moving parts. Part of it is something called "motor stiction", and "drive train noise."
