I cannot figure out how to run the sound bar through the receiver. I would greatly appreciate any help. I have run out of ideas.

The CT100's included sub IS the receiver as well (inside). The soundbar was made specifically for it's included sub, no outside sources like your receiver is needed. Plus the proprietary cable of the CT100 is a computer 9-pin serial cable, there is NO RECEIVER on the market that even has that and if so, was not made for the CT100, that's why the CT100 has a SUB/receiver included with the purchase/bundle.

When I got the soundbar/woofer I had no idea it had its own video input/output. The room is a fairly large room and I wanted surround sound. Using the Yamaha receiver (which I love) and 2 Infinity Primus P162 speakers was not enough sound for the room. I ordered the Sony speakers online based on reviews. OBVIOUSLY, I didn't do enough technical research beforehand, I just assumed. (:>(( Any suggestions on speakers I could use with the 162's through the Yamaha?

Get either the Infinity Primus PC250 or PC350 for the center:
PC250: http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/it...y-primus-pc250
PC350: http://www.onecall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?id=34006
The PC350 is hard to find right now but Vanns has a customer return if you want to save a few $s: http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/it...y-primus-pc350

And get a pair of Primus P162, P152, or P142 for surround. You'll also need a subwoofer and you're set.

These are decent speakers and will sound much much better than the CT-100.

Edit: Or, if you really want to fill a large room, look for a pair of Primus P362 floorstanding speakers and move your P162s to the rear.
