I've been trying to get my Pioneer 151FD set up to play recorded tv from my MCE 2005 computer with Windows Media Player 11 also installed. The HMG (ethernet cable to my router) works fine when I view pictures, music and video (primarily wmv). But I am unable to get recorded tv to stream to HMG properly.

Since HMG does not support dvr-ms, I've used DVRMS Toolbox to convert from dvr-ms to mp4 and wmv. Once I have converted the dvr-ms recorded tv to either mp4 or wmv, I have verified that the files play properly in wmp11.

When I try to view the converted files using HMG, I run into one of two isses.

wmv - Even though the file type is now shown as Windows Media Audio Video, WMP11 insists on putting these files into the Recorded TV folder. It will not let me put it into the Video Folder manually or during auto add and HMG does not recognize the Recorded TV folder in WMP11.

mp4 - Even though I can put the file into the WMP11 Video Folder and view the file in WMP11, when I try to open the folder on HMG, I get a "failed to acquire list" error and the WMP11 application crashes.

Does anyone out there have ideas how to resolve the problem or approach it from some other angle?
