Here is a comparison chart I have composed so far for all the info. available. Hope it helps.

The North American M-Series is NOT a direct import from Europe or any other part of the world. It is designated for the custom installer market in North America. Although the specification is very similar to the European M-Series, they have different firmware (i.e. No ISFccc mode - See Note in the 3rd section) in North America

  • The Pro-151fd stand can be used on Pro-141fd and KRP-600m. Parts Number: AXY1212 - STAND ACCESSORY ASSY (Nuts & Screws); AXY1221 - BASE COVER ASS'Y; AXY1222 - STAND PIPE L ASS'Y (Need to order 2). It may be worth noting that the Signatures and Elites share a different AR filter than the xx20s do. I'm not sure about the M series.

All the information I have recieved indicates that the Elite color filter is in the M's and Elites (of course).

Soso...impressive buddy!

Let alone features and inputs...the 141FD and 600M are essentially same panels, regardless how you slice it (Pioneer or Elite) badges.

Great job. You might want to add something about Game Pref mode, which is available when in game mode. I'm not sure what it does, but it makes 480i content look quite different (at least on the 8Gs).

According to the manual, all 9G Kuro have Game Pref Mode and it seems to work exactly the same across all models. Please let me know what exactly should I include. Thanks.

You include a description of the various picture presets at the bottom of the second chart, and they are the same across all models (except Pure).

You can actually mount the speaker for at least the 5020 on top if you wish - there are screw holes that can be used to mount it on top as you would on the bottom. That is what I did. Still trying to decide which way I like it best.

The M-Series are designed and sold via custom install market. You are not likely to find them in any big box shop. In the U.S., there are some authorized internet dealers that have them. In Canada, you might need to call around your local install shops. I have no idea.

Nice chart.

As listed however the chart gives the impression that many of the built-in processing features are entirely absent in the XX20 series. They are not. They are present and active with various built-in settings but not individually adjustable.

Settings like DRE, Black Level, CTI etc. are active with preset values that change with the various A/V modes. I list the preset values (as well as the general range of color temps available) of most of the processing features of the Kuro XX20 series in this post.

No, Thank You for the information. "No" is very misleading and "Fixed" is more correct. With at least 4 "Official's" owners' thread going on the 9G Kuro, information is very hard to find. I am just trying to compose them together as much as I could across all North America models in Page 1 so anyone can take a quick browse much easier.

Currently, the M is alot cheaper......like a few thousand cheaper at the moment . Its actually cheaper than the 6020 non-elite right now. Its really a no brainer if it works for your application. This of coarse is speaking about the 60" version. I dont know how the 50" plays out right now.
