This may be a little out of place but...

I bought the FPJ1 from Crowne in FL. Paid $2500 + $65 shipping. Now trying to pair it with a screen. Concerned about brightness. Considering Draper 106" Silhouette with M1300 or M2500 screens. Any recs for this projector? My room is 17 x 19 w/ 9' ceilings. 14' throw distance. mostly movies but certainly daytime football. Will be some ambient light coming from side but not direct sunlight. Also looking at Dalite cinemavision. What have you guys paired wth your FPJ1s?

That is the lowest price I have scene for a 151. Has there been any lower? At that price I would buy it over a krp600.

whether it is a load a crap or not, i am just passing the information on. crown audio is out of them and will not get more, and the next best price is from main street electronics. i ordered mine today and that is what i was told. it is the simple law of supply and demand (main street or whomever, is in the business of doing business).

I received my FPJ1 from Crown Audio on Friday and got it mounted and running Saturday. Must say it's a nice upgrade from my white Sony Pearl. I'm not going to miss the dynamic Iris one bit. And to think the JVC does fade to black so much better without it, plus having really bright whites on a black background again is so nice... At $2500 + shipping it was a great deal, thanks again to those who found and posted it...

Good luck to those still wanting to get in on this deal. I hope you're still able to find one. It does sounds like the supply is running out ...

The link isn't working, for me, at least, but Videogon has several listed. There are still some on Fleabay for a good price. I would check the sellers there out to be sure they are an authorized dealer, though. Also give Value Electronics, an AVS sponsor a call (Robert or Wendy). They did have some but not sure of the price. Be sure to tell them you are an AVS member.

I called Value Electronics and the only one left is the demo model. They want $2899 for it.

I have called him (Will2) several times on other products and although they are authorized you always get hit on something, 3% credit card or excessive shipping charge. By the way I own a business and 3% is not what my credit card company charges.

I just ordered mine from Mike at Sound Advice. Thanks Chris and others for the info. It will be here on monday.
I actually tried getting the projector from a local A/V shop and they told me that the Pioneer was on clearance
and that they had a great price on it. They price did not impressed me... Needless to say, I walked out and immediately called Mike and bought one.

I bought an 111FD and SC-05 (reciever was for my buddy) from Will2 when the first major price drop happened, and I had a great experience with them. I was given the option of sending a check for no fee or paying by CC for a fee, and because I was in a hurry I paid by CC. The shipping charges weren't out of the ordinary and both items arrived much quicker than I anticipated.

Just wantAed to give an opposing viewpoint so everyone here sees both sides of the coin. At this point there's not a whole lot of FPJ1s around (I first jumped on them when they dropped to $2999, and I can't believe there are still any left), and with the price so low, being picky about an extra 3% on a great deal may prevent someone from getting their hands on one.

I was charged $50 + 3% for shipping on a VSX03 Receiver. Not even double boxed.
Still the receiver was a great deal at the time and it arrived in great shape so not too much whining here.

I ordered two FPJ1 from Will2. Great experience. Gave me option to pay either by CC (3% fee) or pay via paypal's e-check (no fee). I paid by e-check which took 2-3 days to clear. I got tracking number and should get these by the end of this week. IMHO, I would not mind paying 3% if deal is good overall. Grab one while you can

Hi,

Just noticed on Videogon that the Pro151FD increased in price from $3500 to $4500, and have confirmed over the phone that this is correct (shipping to the west cost was about $450), so now they're no longer the cheapest price. Looks like the Pro111FD increased too but I don't remember the previous price.

Sadly, I spoke with Will on the phone a few days ago and asked what the stock/availability was at the $3500 price and he said that it would last until the end of the month, and was not based on availability. So I'm not sure exactly what is going on, but I'm holding off my purchase for now.
