Looked at russound site for specs but having a hard time dicerning between the 6.6 and the 6.4. Does anyone know what improvments or added features there were from the 6.4 to the 6.6?
Buying off Craigslist? I see a few for sale...a couple in Pittsburgh...
I'm not familiar with the CA6.4i, but it appears the main difference between the CAM and CAA would be the lack of details (song info) on the keypad, with the CA6.4i unit - no RNET with the CA6.4i. The CAA can provide those details on the keypad.
I think I would be ok with the older Russound, as I might stream my music through a squeezbox where in I would, if i get this corect, have the squeezebox remote for song info.
Of course that wouldn't help in zones that didn't have the remote I guess.
Those are discontinued 6 zone 4 source controllers that require CA-KP2 or CA-LCD2 voltage controlled keypads to work... If they don't have the keypads good luck finding them they stopped production over 5 years ago.
I'd look at the CAA66 kits: 6 zones 6 sources basic programing on the system routed IR etc or move up to the RNET systems.

I could use a replacement keypad for an existing Russound CA 6.4 controller. I know these are old models but aside from a missing keypad everything works fine. Anyone have a spare keypad they would be willing to sell or know where I could get one? So far striking out on my luck on-line.
I am an eBay seller and have one new unopened CA6.4L system. It uses the CA-LCD's. I sold two other systems, one that I split up because someone wanted controllers so badly, and sold a couple recievers. I sold the 6 for $150 each and sold them in 3 days to two people who needed one for their system and one who wanted the other 4 because he was an installer or home builder or something. Let me know how many you want and price you would pay and I will decide if I want to break up the set. They are VERY rare being out of production for 5 years. I was the only one that had them when I sold them earlier this year, and I see none on eBay right now either. You can ask me questions at ebay if you want. My username there is "bhomber".
