I'm thinking about getting a Rhythmik sub. I'm using a Rogue Audio Perseus as my pre-amp. And while it does have HT Bypass, it does not have a sub in like the Parasound. So I'd have to connect my pre-pro and my Perseus separately to the sub. That's not such a big deal. But if I want to use a BFD for both 2CH and HT, I think I would have to get 2 BFDs. Is that correct?
You are correct, I do own the Rythmik D-15 sub. If you want to connect both the pre/pro & 2ch pre into the sub, you can use the BFD's 2 inputs I believe. Then if the sub allows multiple inputs, you can run both of the BFD's outputs into it. The problem I see is crossover setting issues using a full range 2ch pre and a bass managed pre/pro. If you only use one "universal" setting for the filters on the BFD, your rooms response will vary a lot going between the pre/pro & 2ch pre. You could simply create one preset for each of the BFD's inputs, one for the 2ch pre, and one for the pre/pro but then you have to flip the toggle on the BFD each time you switch from HT to 2ch?
In my case with the 2100, in HT bypass the sub signal passes right through the 2100 unaltered allowing me to utlize just one setting on the BFD because I use a 80hz crossover across the board on the 2100 and my yamaha receiver so that my room plot is fairly close between the 2 pieces.
Wow, I probably just confused you more, and myself too
If you need a hand with the scenarios, shoot me a PM.
