Pool Table? (DC Metro Area)

Hey all,

I am looking to buy a pool table for the first time and I was wondering if there's a good place (preferably local) to buy a pool table along with equipments.
I've searched and found couple places but I am not sure how good they are.
Any recommendations?

Thanks!

If you have a Recreation Unlimited store near you, it would behoove you to check them out. I got a great price on a 7ft. table with slate top. $2749 list, for $1500. The brand is Level Best, made in Kentucky.

I would do a craigs list search in your area for a good used table. You can purchase one there at a very good price.

You will just need to make arrangements with someone to move and set it up unless you think that you can handle this yourself.

I am from the DC metro area also. PM me the places you researched and i will respond back with what I know about them. I do not want to do this in a public forum.

Champions Billiards and Barstools has been "going out of business" for quite some time now and seemed to be slashing their prices pretty decent on their pool tables and such. Perhaps checking them out. you can find them on google easily.

I bought my gandy from craigslist for $500. It was about a $4000 table when new. Solid maple carved legs with leather pockets. It cost me $400 to hire professional pool table movers, but it was worth it. He really knew his stuff. Didnt put a single mark on it, set it up properly, and its the most level thing in my basement.

This place in Leesburg is where I went to and the guy seemed really nice and professional.
I looked at Connelly's pooltables and they were amazing! (Brunswick was another company but I didn't like it as much as Connelly.) Yeah, they do cost thousands of dollars and the one I looked at is about $6000 including 6 Qs, brush, rack, etc included and it's 9-ft table. The guy was saying that you really don't need 8-ft but just my personal choice. I might go back sometime this week to buy one if all go well.
