"Castle" on ABC HD - Page 45

Well it was easy for me to see the proposal coming. But I wonder if they'll pull the same scheme as they did before when she quit at the season finale, then came back. I could see Castle helping Ryan and Esposito at the precinct and Kate calling for help for her cases for a few episodes. Then she'll work her way back. As for the proposal, I honestly have no idea how she'll respond. My guess is she puts him off and there is tension for a while until she finally says yes after they are in yet another life threatening situation and she realizes she can't live without him.

I've always thought a good way to evolve the show would be to have Castle and Kate start a PI firm.  That way they can still do cases like they do today and involve Espo and Ryan as well as I would think they would stay on the force.  Who knows.

Finally....got to watch the last half. Kept falling asleep. Lets blame it on the carbs.

They did leave us with a pretty good cliff hanger.

I vote that Kate take the FBI job and Castle moves to D.C. It'd be a great way to refresh the show. Daughter is off to college, mom goes to DC with Castle and Espo and Ryan....sorry guys....collateral damage.

They are too important to the show.

The proposal was forced. He wouldn't of done so, if she didn't tell him about the offer. It would of made the finale far better if she kept quite about the offer until the last scene. Then have Castle propose before she could say anything and leave it hang there. That would add another variable to the mix for the Fall. wink.gif

I think we have Castle's mom to thank for getting Castle to think about what's going on which lead to the proposal.

Wouldn't be the first.

Yeah, I'm already expecting the answer to be no and she will specifically mention this.

Finally caught up on this show. The pressure plate episode was HILARIOUS! I thought that was the end of the show after that episode (til the end). The finale was meh... Is this show ending?
No ,it's one of the most watched ABC shows they have .
No offense to Castle, but... OUCH. lol

It's still one of my favorites but not nearly as high on the list as it once was.

Well, the new season is about to start, a week from Monday.

Time to guess as to what is going to happen. Mine are:

1: Beckett says yes.
2: Becket took the job (the ABC press synopsis kinda hints at that)
3: Castle can't get involved with DOJ cases. But wait, Castle is Castle, after all.

My contact wouldn't give away any of the above to me, but did pass along this (no plot info): Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The season opener is a two-parter

Any other guesses?

There are specific plot points they won't let us give out, but I will say that what you have in your spoiler tag is correct. Interesting guest star, too. And I can tell you that Alexis has gained both a new love interested and a few pounds (or they might have just dressed her frumpy on purpose).

Best scene IS what happens after Castle pops the question.

This week's whodunit left me feeling as if they've hired some of "Leverege's" writers. And I don't mean that in a bad way.

First off, I just found out that Canada (CTV) is airing Castle on Sunday nights this season. That means those members who are in Canada, or U.S. members who live along the border (in areas that get CTV OTA) will be able to spoil the new episode.

I'm wrapping all of the following in a spoiler, as it is a continuation of the previously posted spoiler.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I've been thinking about the cliffhanger. I'm guessing that someone is in trouble. First it was Beckett and her life on the line. Then Alexis being kidnapped. I doubt that it would be Beckett or Alexis again, nor would it be Castle's mother. So, that leaves Castle in trouble.

Gee, I guess no one up on Canada, who is an AVS member, saw the episode Monday night. As this thread is about the show on ABC, and not CTV, I'd have to spoiler tag what I now know about the first episode of the season.

Bring on the 2nd episode!!!!!! biggrin.gif

I saw about two minutes of it, does that count?? The program started at 7pm which is not normal "prime time". Neither DVR I have showed it being a 'new' episode, so I assume it was just a rerun, I didn't bother recording it. redface.gif

I watched it. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Is it meant to be suspenseful that Castle has one day to live? Cause that's really believable. Killing off Castle. Riggghhhht.

If you live in the central time zone, 7pm is the start of normal primetime. biggrin.gif

It started @ 7pm ET on CTV because of the Emmy Awards.

Interesting that you were able to watch CTV from Baltimore. Must have a BUD biggrin.gif
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The suspense is watching how they solve the problem and save Castle. Obviously Castle lives.

That was just an awful beginning to the season...

+1

Exactly!

I liked it. Beckett's reaction to the proposal was well done, from a comic timing point of view. The look on Castle's face when he was being driven around was priceless, but NF does that SO well in this show. smile.gif
post #1345 of 1491
I thought it was a good episode also. Good to see Dr. Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) back in the saddle.
I really liked the new episode, and the way the writers handled the new plot.

But the ending was the dumbest thing I have seen in years.
boy they hit the ground running for this season's opener. it feels like everything is up in the air right now. i wonder how long they juggle it....

It was very well done.

Looking forward to the rest of the season.

.....and of course, they're not going to kill Castle off. Boy, wouldn't that be a surprise if they did. lol
post #1349 of 1491
Becket is pretty much a bore without Castle. I don't see myself sticking with it, if it's just going to be another cop show with snippets of Castle thrown in. Otherwise it's going to be Castle bungling up every investigation she's on?

If he dies, they'll have to change the name of the show. smile.gif
