"Castle" on ABC HD - Page 3

Not much buzz on Castle I see...but I'm liking it more and more each week.
I agree, I too am enjoying it more each week.
I'm enjoying it as well, it's almost like The Mentalist, only with a novelist instead of a mentalist. Formulaic to be sure, but it's different enough to keep me engaged, so far.

Probably the 3 of us aren't enough to keep it on, but it's a fun ride while it lasts.

It's nice to see two main characters like Richard and Kate actually have some chemistry between them.

Really enjoying this show. It has some good chemistry between the leads and pretty snappy writing. Did Stana look smoking hot in the pink "do me" dress at the book store or didn't she?

I agree that this week's episode was a lot of fun. Finally, after the horrible Drive, Fillion is back in a series in which he can bring his considerable acting chops and charm to bear. I am also enjoying the beautiful Stana Katic as Detective Kate Beckett. She and Fillion have a lot of chemistry and I enjoy their scenes together.

The writing in this show is terrific. Some of the one liners have made me howl. For example in this week's show, one of the cops asks Castle if he had ever paid for sex and he asked if that should include his ex-wives.

The show has the weaknesses of all police procedurals, the most obvious being that even the smartest of miscreants always seems to stupidly confess in a way that conveniently advances the story the most in the least time. No matter, I can live with that if the writing and the performances continue to be as good as they were this week.

Simply an entertaining show. Pretty good comedic value and Fillion is outstanding. Captain Malcolm Reynolds as a crime writer.

Wearing a rug? Too soon?!?

great ep

I did a mini marathon of the show Sunday and Monday, all 4 episodes, and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. Nothing ground breaking, but just plain fun. It's really tough to buy the premise, but if you get past that the banter makes the whole thing work. Fillian is really under rated as a comic actor, and this show illustrates what he's best at.

"Guess who's got a date with a prostituuuuute?"

Agreed that some of the off the cuff one liners in this show are very well done. I mainly decided to start watching this because of Fillion but have been pleasantly surprised with the show as a whole so me and the wife have added it to our season pass.

Exactly -- not that there's anything wrong with that!

Wife and I love it, but are bracing ourselves to be unsatisfied. And wow... that dress. Yowsers I love the whole argument over the new character name.

"It's a stripper name!"

... boy am I getting sick of the CSI-like wrap-ups at the end of the episode. I realize they have to tidy things up at the end of each show, but the whole "the good guys convince the bad guy to confess to the crime based on the preponderance of evidence" schtick is wearing thin.

However, it's otherwise an entertaining show. It will be my guilty pleasure for a while I guess.

great ep this week

Still interesting every week, hope it gets renewed.

Definitely not anything wrong with it at all. I am expecting some Chinese swearing to come out of Castle's mouth at any moment!
Even though the show is pretty predictable, its still enjoyable and entertaining...I still laughed when I saw the vest with WRITER on it...
It's just a fun show for me. I hope it sticks around I need a little TV fun now and then. I bet it was a laugh filming those sex scenes.

I hate this show. I hope it gets cancelled and we don't even get to see already filmed episodes.

Well, that reverse psychology didn't work. Darn. I was rather hoping it would, because Castle is becoming more and more a "must see" for me. I love the interaction between the two leads, and don't even mind the "daughter/wife/mother" interruptions.

But wait....there is hope for it....after all, this is ABC and they did right by Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone and...oh, wait...no, it's coming back to me now. Better get that reverse psychology going again......

Unfortunately this show just doesn't hold my interest. I already have Bones for almost the same exact type of duo. I love Nathan Fillian but my time is more valuable. :-\\

Add two more to the fan list. It's on our PVR list...
Really like this show but thought that last night's episode was sub-par with some lazy writing. Hopefully, it's an exception to what has been very crisp writing as a rule.

Castle is right, crazy chicks are great in bed.

I didn't understand that part. Are there are non-crazy chicks?

With the exception of Castle's daughter, there are certainly no non-crazy chicks in Castle's life. For example, both Castle's mother and his first ex-wife are pieces of work who give new meaning to the term "high maintenance"!

Another fun outing tonight. Murder made funny. It was a good night for a bit of comedy, Bones, Chuck and Castle -a triple play.
Yep, good ep this week too. Yet again there's a problem at the end with Castle staying in the car, can we consider that a running gag yet?
Anyone think the shindig was a reference to Firefly? And the sword-play? haha...

Entertaining ep....and slightly less apparent who the murderer was...I actually thought it was going to be cliche and be the daughter and her drugged-out boyfriend/friends...glad they didn't go that route
post #90 of 1333
Another solid episode. I hope they bring back Castle's second ex-wife/agent.
