"Castle" on ABC HD - Page 27

Time to bring this thread back to the forefront, as Castle will soon be hitting the airwaves again.

We all know that Beckett will be back. I hear that the new captain is a prick and she's a woman That should change the dynamic of the show

10 days and counting.

The best of both worlds?

I'm looking forward to Castle's return, too. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic have great chemistry together. I also like Susan Sullivan as Castle's aging but still elegant wannabe actress mother and Molly C. Quinn as his precocious daughter.

The new captain.

And, yeah, the character fits the above description. Penny plays her superbly. I don't think she and Castle will have ANY sexual tension between them. At all.

Good first episode. Don't miss the last two minutes.

Like any of us would miss any of it.

Yes. One of the perks of working in the media.

Sorry for the TiVo panic. I've written reviews on so many upcoming shows I just naturally assume everyone knows. Apologies.

I'll be darned. Beckett recovered.
Wow, that's all the replies here... ?

Did you SEE the ending??

Actually, it isn't what you saw, but what you heard.

Next time it might be what you hear and what you see.

In any case, it goes without saying that it was another good episode.

That wasn't Warf?

I though they rushed the recovery stuff a bit. Other than that, glad it's back.

What was it, three months from the time Castle was booted from the hospital room to when she showed up for duty? Even then, she was supposed to be out longer.

If the show was 48 minutes long instead of 43, they could have spent more time on recovery.

Lol

Micheal Dorn from Star Trek as Worf. It was him.
The time frame of Beckett's recovery aside (and her still looking ravishing when Castle visted her at the hospital) I thought that they actually pulled the return off very well. Did anyone ever doubt that Beckett heard every word that Castle said when she was shot? Sets up even more sexual tension between the two of them. I liked the ending with Castle having his own state of the art electronic crime board. This show has lost nothing off its fast ball and should be fun this season.

Beckett tells her shrink @ the end, that she Can remember everything about the shooting, she told Castle the opposite , which explains the 3 months of Not talking with Castle . She can't have him all gooey eyed when she needs that case of her mother solved before she can even go there with Castle .

BTW I seen an old episode of "The Closer " & it had the Stania in as a Russian whore who had bagged a American husband, had his baby. She was quite fatter & had a huge bump on her nose , the girl has since lost weight & had work on that nose

I was wondering where he was as I noted his name in the opening credits.

It didn't take them long to "out" the doctor boy friend: "We broke up". It would seem our shy hero has a clear and unobstructed road ahead.

Yeah that will surface as she did remember what Castle had said @ the shooting & cut the Doc loose, not wanting to cloud the future ,as she did notice that the Doc did upset Castle .

First of all, I did enjoy the episode. There was no real doubt that Beckett would recover, and since they couldn't exactly spend half the episode on it, it was probably best that after the commercial break, it was suddenly three months later.

But I must be the only person who isn't on board with every show having an overall story arch. I'm fine with them solving a case every week, period. I don't need a recurring villain, an ongoing or recurring storyline, or anything else, especially since they never, ever seem to end. She found the guy who shot her mother, but it turned out he was only working for someone else. She found the "someone else" but it only led to a bigger conspiracy. She cracked the conspiracy, a major character died, and it's still not over. Now there's this mysterious "friend of Montgomery" who says things are quiet for now, as long as she backs off. But obviously that plot will come back later. He will protect her, for now, but some new baddie will find out, and kill him, thus leaving her in danger again. That new baddie will eventually be caught, but it will turn out that he is only working for someone else. This "someone else" will lead them to yet another conspiracy...

don't know if anyone caught it, but the "friend" who got the letter/old files from the "old dead " boss & got the phone call to Castle . He was in the hospital in the hospital corridor, right near Beckett's room , he smiled @ Castle as Castle walked by( he had a hospital chart in his hands to hide his face . He was dressed as a doctor & was walking by Castle when Castle was seeing Beckett with the flowers( the part where she said "don't come back tomorrow I'll call when i want to talk ".............The brush off is how I took it , as well did Castle .

You sure are having spelling/typing issues. You entered wArf, not wOrf, so I had no clue as to what you were talking about.

Plus, it is MichAEl, not MichEAl

I'll have to go back at look at the credit. Silly me if I didn't even notice.

That definitely was him.

Nice catch I missed that completely.

I hope castle tells Beckett about this guy soon before she finds out on her own and gets pissed at him for a few episodes.

lol, my bad. In my defense I was feeling pretty good last night. xD

Anyway, same difference.

Yes, I noticed his name in the opening credits, but I didn't recognize him until I heard his voice. For old times sake I wish he could have said "He has no HONOR!"

I loved the geek-out board that Castle had at the end of the episode. And I love shows that have an underlying arc running through it. In my opinion, that's what made (and possibly eventually broke?) The X-Files.

And of course his daughter is great. One of my favorite shows.

This got me curious and I found this youtube clip. Also. Definitely a different nose. Unless the closer had her wear a fake nose for character reasons, she has had some work done there.

Comparison shot
