If so,I'm definitely going to call to get my set looked at too.Its gonna suck doing the break-in process all over again.
He is able to replace it over one pixel because it is bright red, near the center of the screen, and visible from over 8 feet away. But if he has to take it away for repairs I'm going to ask him to wait a bit while I try a replacement unit from Amazon. (since he lives only 5 miles from my house it shouldn't be a big deal)
While dusting the screen with a dry microfiber glove I noticed that the protective "glass" feels a lot like plastic....
I personally fall into the use it like you want from day one category on this set, even right out of the box it is highly immune to IR and have no fears about this set, all I'm doing is zooming in on black bar blu-rays for the first month, I game without fear.
I haven't tweaked the settings much yet, but I run it in THX mode with the contrast at 60 (not much difference between 100 and 60 in thx mode other than heat output and buzz levels) and brightness at 55, and color temp on cool 1 to get rid of the yellow cast and dirty whites, I'll probably wind up in normal color temp after tweaking it. (warm has always been overly yellow on these Panasonic sets) This set needs a lot of tweaking still yet, which is something that I can't wait to do, but I need to wait for a good unit before I dive into it.
