When you completed the game you got an account code that gave you your score/money. It didn't matter though as you had to make 10k back to keep your franchise every time you played. I guess it was more of a save system to keep your high score.

Wow that's awesome you made it through. Like I said, I was probably no older than 7 when I played it a bunch and I don't think I understood the strategy real well.
I remember my older cousin getting close to the end once and I was in awe!
