Video plays at half speed.. Audio full speed.. Help!

Just got David Gilmour concert disk, but when it plays the audio is full speed, the video is half speed.

Using MPC-HC, using WMP 11 codecs. Have not had a problem until now.

I did notice that this is the first disk I have that is 30fps. I think all the others either VC-1 or AVC are all 24 fps. Not sure if that matters. Is there some setting inside WMP that I need to change or tweak?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem with the same disk. I'm using MPC-HC with built-in decoders (VC1 - dxva). I'm running Vista 32 on an HP HDX16 laptop (1920x1080 display with NVidia graphics card), Intel C2D (2.26 GHz I think), 3 Gig RAM. I'm playing the M2TS files directly from the BD (either from disc or copied to hard drive).

Anyone have any ideas?

I made some progress, but it's still not quite playing right. If you google "David Gilmour Blu Ray playback" you'll find a link to a thread on the Doom9 forum with a good suggestion -- download a utility called "WMV Power Toy". Use it to enable (force) WMV (VC-1) hardware acceleration.

Next, in MPC-HC, I found that if you disable the internal playback filters for VC-1 (both of them) and switch output to the VMR 9 renderer (instead of default or EVR) it will do a much better job of playing back on my machine.

The video can't quite keep up on my machine (even on the high performance setting), but it's much closer.

Try it and see for yourself -- let me know what you think.

The powertoy wouldn't install. Might be that I am running XP 64bit? Tried others but no real change. Think this disk is just encoded "goofy".

Too bad.. Everything else plays fine.
