Is there any picture difference between the 6000 and 7000 series? Are they using the same panels? Does the 7000 just have a few more features, otherwise the picture is the same between the 6000 and 7000?

atupid question but what is the g10 an s1 you are refering to. also any word if these use white leds or does it use edge led. if it edge it is a no go for me.

i have the 6100 40".

i like the wireless remote and the red touch of color isn't so bad after all. But the power light on the TV can get anoying sometimes. Can this be dimmed?

the sound quality seems good for the size. being so thin.

And this 40" TV with no stand only weighs 32.4 lbs ! one person can handle it no problem at all. Even going up 3 flights of stairs.

does the 6100 have the Ultra Clear Panel or semi-matte screen surface?

we put our 55b6000 on the floor sat. this is what we got when turned on this morning. Any other issues like this??

Not sure a matte screen would help much. Instead of the sharp reflection you would end up with a blurry blotch.

no damage to box, tv was working when turned off sunday. It may just be a rare glitch, it just caught many of us off guard.

Not bad for an LCD. The lower end of the grayscale is way too red for my tastes though. Reducing the brightness did not aleviate this issue (might also fix the excessive blue in the mid grayscale also)?

checked out the b7100 at bestbuy, the color seems more bluish than the 750 and plasmas. Orange/ skin tone seems weaker than the other sets. When in torch mode you can see the edge led's bleed through the left and right of the screen. Not sure how it is with lower backlight settings. AMP has 4 settings + custom mode with smooth slider bar adjuster. When the picture is dark the dynamic backlight dims to almost off, i think this is to prevent the edge lightsaber bleeding from showing.

If you mean wireless video signal I don't think any of these Luxia's have wireless video. If you want that wait for the LG LH95 line of LED LCD tv's. Those tv's come with a wireless box for the video signal....but I'm sure they will have a price to match. Supposed to be out 1st half 09.

Probably just a bad set. There are always going to be a few.

Get a good warranty with these sets....especially after seeing that picture

Quality Control check should've gotten this unless it was caused by the Shipping process. Even the best egg shippers get some cracks which is why everyone checks before they go in the cart and it's unlikely to become a replicated event in numbers as it hasn't occurred with the other Samsungs at all. Samsung has no such history in it's other panels of this event to make this a pattern - the event will likely be the exception Not the Rule. The Poster truly should be sending this Pic to Samsung with the serial number for QC checks - far more important than posting it here.

Any major clouding and flashlight issues on these new led sets....?

I was in bb today and ck'd out the 7100...great pic...wasn't calibrated so no thoughts on pic just yet...question: The bb sale rep said that if i mount the lcd on my wall it cancels the warranty.. Sound s like bs to me...just wanted it verified by another bb rep...i'm thinkin that he's just trying to sell a bb extended warranty.......

So do these new Samsung models have QAM tuners? I was at Best Buy today to check out the 7100 and the guy told me it did not have a QAM tuner. He also said not very many of the current TVs do. I was a bit surprised by that as I jetisoned my digital HD cable service because I didn't want a set top box. All I want is to watch unecrypted local stations over cable and BluRay movies. If they don't have a QAM tuner I have lost interest. Please tell me this Best Buy guy was wrong. Or tell me what top quality TVs still ahve QAM tuners.

It wasn't my goal to try and scare ppl out of this set. I was mainly just trying to see if this was possibly recurring. I've already shipped the bad unit back to the vendor and replaced it and the new set is working great. It prob was just in the 1% of failures that occurs with any tv. Unless I hear of more failures with the tv I have no problem recommending it to anyone.

The TV is amazing BTW. I've connected HD Directv via HDMi, and samsung blu-ray BDP1600 via HDMI. Blu-ray just blows you away, I have seen some noise in the picture on satellite. Turning NR up did help with that though....Anyone else having noise issues?

This tv was designed to be mounted.

BB employee told me the same thing today-no QAM tuner. Also said no S-Video or Composite Input which is a bit surprising-this was verified by looking at the back of the set.

If the turner bit is true I'm also out, that is inexcuseable. Looks like a 950 for my 2nd Samsung set to complement the 850.
