I'm thinking of getting a PSP to replace my Archos 604. as it also offers Skype, and internet access

was wondering if
(a) Which has better PQ
(b) How well does it do at web browsing - do pages load quickly?
(c) Can it play you tube?
(d) Can it play (stream) videos located on desktop computer via the wi-fi connection?
(e) is there any difference in which PSP version for these uses?
(f) can it display .pdf files?
(g) how is the battery life
(h) can it play ripped DVDs? with DVD menus?
(i) I heard something about hooking up to PS3 and having the PS3 downcovert a bluray to the PSP is that true?

(a) Which has better PQ
They both have native rez of 480 X 272, so if just based on that they should have similar PQ. Of course, not sure what kind of screen the Archos has, so that *might* make a difference, if the Archos has a brighter screen...
(b) How well does it do at web browsing - do pages load quickly?
The installed web browser for the PSP is slow, but a modded PSP with Opera Mini is fast
(c) Can it play you tube?
A modded PSP with Ultimate PSP can play you tube and select other sites, but interface is a little different - you search for a given term/text...
(d) Can it play (stream) videos located on desktop computer via the wi-fi connection?
Supposedly there's a way, but I haven't had success yet. There is definitely a way to do this if you have a PS3, which I don't have but have read others posts on this (as well as on Sony's site).
(e) is there any difference in which PSP version for these uses? You'll want a modded PSP, so a phat (-1000), or the 2nd gen (-2000) series, which are currently moddable.
(f) can it display .pdf files? Yes, again with a mod
(g) how is the battery life Pretty good, I get about 6 hours or so of vids, less if I'm gaming. I usually carry a spare battery, and also a AA recharger for long trips.
(h) can it play ripped DVDs? with DVD menus? I've never tried DVD menus, but as with any other mp4 player, it can play mp4s, h.265 avcs, including ripped dvd movies.
(i) I heard something about hooking up to PS3 and having the PS3 downcovert a bluray to the PSP is that true? Not sure about this one...
